    Thomas Ken Holden

    August 30, 1946 - November 5, 2019

THOMAS KEN HOLDEN 08/30/1946 – 11/05/2019 Thomas Ken Holden was born on August 30, 1946 to Oliver Paul and Dorothy Ann Holden in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Tom was known to his family as Tommy. His friends knew him as Tom or “Tomikins”. Tom was the oldest of six children. Tom graduated high school in 1964. During Tom’s senior year, he began boot camp for the US Navy. Tom enlisted in the US Navy in 1965. He served two years and was honorably discharged as a Third Class Petty Officer (Corpsman). He then served one year in the Navy Reserves. After some time, Tom moved to Colorado in 1972. His love for Colorado began with his own father. His father wanted to move to Colorado with his family but plans changed. Tom loved the Rocky Mountains and the drive through the Big Thompson. Tom always had a strong love for old cars since he was young. He enjoyed working on them, restoring them, researching information about them and definitely driving them! Tom was one of the original members of the Loveland chapter of the VMCCA. Few members have his record of attendance at meetings and he participated in almost all club events. Tom also enjoyed his four children Sean, Tami, Larry and Teri. Tom was involved in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts with his sons. He also enjoyed his two daughters, Tami and Teri. He was proud to teach his children about cars and how to care for them. He also enjoyed watching his children participate in school functions such as band, choir, sports and drama club. Tom was blessed with eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He always had a love for big dogs and cats. For many years, Levi, his cat kept him company. When Levi passed, Tom was gifted a new cat. He named this cat Lombardi. In the four years he had Lombardi, he became his new best friend. Anyone who knew Tom knew he was a diehard Green Bay Packer fan and share holder. If you wanted to visit with Tom, you knew not to call or come by during the game! Tom was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, his father Oliver P. Holden, mother Dorothy A. Holden. He is survived by his four children, Sean (Lila) Holden of Colorado Springs, CO, Larry Holden of Washington D.C., Tami Holden of Laytonville, CA and Teri (Travis) Neugebauer of Holly, CO. Eleven grandchildren, Nikole (Pat) Kohorst, Felicia (Renee) Martinez, James (Xio) Tucker, Chris Holden, Sydney Holden, Liberty Bollig (Sean Sim), Jett Polzin, Cassidy Higuera, Enzo Higuera, Braxton Neugebauer and Walker Neugebauer. Great-grandchildren Jackson, Brayden and Genevieve Kohorst, Rhyker and soon-to-be sister Freya Sim. His three brothers, Jim (Marilyn) Holden of Hartford, WI, Jeff (Kay) Holden of Grand Haven, MI, John (Linda) Holden of Sheboygan, WI. Two sisters, Patti Holden of Madison, WI and Penny (Luke) Walsh of Ft. Atkinson, WI. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a largo host of friends. Friends are invited to meet the family in the Loveland, Kmart parking lot, 2665 W. Eisenhower Blvd. at 1 p.m.. Wednesday, November 13, 2019. From there the family and friends will drive to Drake, and then have a small service.
