Kendell Darryl Basinger

January 20, 1945 - May 7, 2022

Kendell Darryl Basinger was born January 20th, 1945, in Hays, KS to Cecil and Daisy Basinger. Kendell passed away peacefully on Saturday May 7th, 2022, at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, CO at the age of 77. On July 17th, 1965, he was united in marriage to Glennis Kaye Basinger in WaKeeney, KS. They shared 56 years of marriage. Kendell graduated from Trego Community High School in WaKeeney, KS. Kendell worked at Western Cooperative Electric Association for several years. He relocated his family to Fort Collins, CO in 1972 when he was offered the opportunity to transfer to Poudre Valley Rural Electric Associates, where he spent 29 years as an Office Service Management. Kendell enjoyed golf, being outdoors, gardening taking care of his immaculate lawn and landscaping and spending time with friends and family. Kendell is survived by his beloved Beagle, Molly. His daughter, Amy Colman, and her husband Jerry. His son, Shane Basinger, and his wife Sharon. His sisters Sally Hicks, Angie Ziegler, and his brother Kerry Basinger. Kendell elected not to have a funeral or memorial service. A celebration of life will be held for both Kendell and Kaye on June 25th. Location: 3015 Stonehaven Drive at 11:00 – 3:00
