Jennifer Marie Quinton
January 16, 1965 - March 4, 2022
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Jennifer Marie Quinton. Jennifer passed away peacefully with her family at her side on March 4, 2022, in Fort Collins. She was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on January 16, 1965. After graduating from Western Canada High School, she followed her interest in business which led her into the field of transportation, where she worked as a dispatcher for over thirty years. Jennifer's last position was for JM Transportation Inc. Jennifer is survived by her mother, Velva Jean Quinton of Denver; her two children, Stephen James Lopezi of Denver and Kayla Marie Bogs of Fort Collins; two grandchildren, Nevaeh and Juliana Grace Lopezi of Denver; her brother, Lee Quinton of Vancouver, British Columbia; sister, Dianna McGruder (Tim) of Aurora; her niece, Cassie McGruder-Canuette (John); and great-niece, Charlotte Canuette of Indianapolis, Indiana. Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, Philip James Quinton and her brother, James Andrew Quinton. Jennifer lived her life, talents, and interests by experiencing everything in the moment and being present. She loved all genres of music, and she listened intently, allowing music to touch her soul. If a song played on the radio, she would invite family and friends to name the song, the artist, or the band. Every year Jennifer looked forward to fall as it was football season! She loved the Denver Broncos but watched every game televised. Each week she anticipated choosing the winning teams and would let us all know with a playful and mischievous look that she made the right pick! Jennifer enjoyed the beauty one could find in the great outdoors. Together with her dear friend Jon Johnson, Jennifer faced her fears of travelling over Trail Ridge Road and was courageous when riding the rapids of the Colorado River. She loved the quiet times she had camping with her children and treasured those moments. When having coffee in the morning with Jon, she would encourage him and us all to look at the gorgeous sunrise, to stop and look up at the majestic Rocky Mountains, and to appreciate the uniqueness of each day. Jennifer was sophisticated and intelligent and could sneak in a one-liner that lit up a room with laughter. She was sweet, thoughtful, and shared kindness with all. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Jennifer’s life that will take place on Saturday, March 26, at 1:00 PM at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St, Fort Collins, CO 80524. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pathways Hospice in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St, Fort Collins, CO 80524.
