Waymon N. Neel

Waymon N. Neel, 93, of Fort Collins, died September 18, 2010 at a local nursing home. Mr. Neel was born November 13, 1916 in Farmersville, Texas to Lindsey and Viola "Kipley" Neel. Waymon married "Nikki" Violet Heiden on November 3, 1939 in Fort Collins. Mr. Neel moved here from Farmersville, Texas and spent the last 60 years in Fort Collins. He worked at Ranchway Feed for 30 years, 16 years at JAX Surplus and he also farmed. He was in the Army-Air Force before WWII; he was discharged from Lowry field in Denver. Survivors include his sons, Monie of Fort Collins, Steven of Fort Morgan and Kinney of Fort Collins; eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Preceding Waymon in death are his wife, Nikki; one brother and three sisters. A Memorial Service will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Jeff Neel will officiate.
