Virginia Joanne Mitotes

Virginia J. Mitotes, 67, of Ft. Collins went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 27, 2021 in Ft. Collins. Virginia was born on April 19, 1954 to Joe Nick Mitotes and Mary Polly Salazar in Ft. Collins. Virginia graduated from Ft. Collins High School in 1972. She attended Colorado State University.

Virginia enjoyed activities, which included whitewater rafting, swimming, horseback riding, and the Special Oympics with her care giver. Virginia inspired her family and many others with her positive attitude and her smile. She had a light that shined through her.

Survivors include her two brothers, Steve and David Mitotes; three sisters, Linda Pundt, Eleanor Mondragon, and Roxanne Trujillo, and many nieces and nephews.


Preceding Virginia in death are her parents, Joe and Mary Mitotes; her sister Eileen Avalos, and a niece April Gee.

The family would like to thank the staff at Ft. Collins Health Care Center for all the love and care they gave to Virginia over the past 10 years.

A Visitation will be held 5 - 7 p.m., Monday, May 3, 2021 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. The Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery.
