Victor "Vic" J. Atayde

Victor Jorge Atayde, 73, of Fort Collins passed away on December 23, 2013. Visitation will be Sunday, December 29th from 4:00-6:00 pm at Bohlender Funeral Chapel in Fort Collins. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 30 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Military Internment will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery. After serving 27 years in the US Army, and a veteran of the Vietnam War, he retired a Sergeant Major receiving the Bronze Star Medal and several other recognitions. Vic later went on to work for and retire from the USPS, and owned a tax preparation business. Victor is preceded in death by his son, Steven Atayde. Victor is survived by his wife of 54 years, Irma Atayde; sons, Chuck Liz and Raymond Joyce; daughter, Helen Phil; grandchildren, Elizabeth Andy, Joseph, Alyse, Katelyn, Lucas, Rachel; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Alexandra.
