Shirley P. Desko

Shirley Desko, 91, went to be with the Lord on February 12, 2014. Shirley was born and raised in North Haven, CT. She met her future husband, Bernie, who was serving in the Coast Guard in New London, CT. They married in 1947 and made their home in Erie, PA where they raised their 2 children. Shirley and Bernie were happily married for 58 years when Bernie passed away. She moved to Fort Collins to be near her family. One of her greatest pleasures was being a grandmother and most recently becoming a great grandmother. She is survived by daughter, Joan Whirty Will of Fort Collins, CO; son, John Desko Peggy of Albuquerque NM; granddaughter, Nina Roys Scott of Timnath, CO and great-grandson, Liam. A family service will be held in her honor.
