Saundra Lee Norris was born in New York City to Jack and Gertrude Goldsack (Gertrude's maiden name Knott) on May 12th, 1932. She graduated from Forest Hills High School in New York in 1950 and married Gary Norris on April 18th, 1956 in New York City. She moved to Columbus Ohio for a short while during the time that Gary did his Optometry training at The Ohio State University and it was there that she gave birth to her first child, Andrew, in February of 1957. She moved back to Queens, NY shortly afterward and lived there until she was 81 years old.

In 1961 she had her second child, Tracy, in New York City. She enjoyed being a homemaker for most of her life, but did work as a secretary for a while and in a Bakery. She enjoyed making Crafts and getting together with her friends as well as trips to Atlantic Beach in the summertime especially. She and her husband Gary enjoyed traveling many times through the Caribbean and also to Las Vegas.

Survivors include her two children Andrew Norris and his Wife Julie from Fort Collins Colorado and Tracy Benstock from St. Petersburg Florida, a sister, Marilyn, from Vancouver British Columbia as well as six grandchildren, Ryan, Jenna, Hayley, Zachary, Alexis and Dana. She had two great-grandchildren Jackson and Mason.

Thank you especially to all of the wonderful caregivers that she had during her time in New York City including especially Ann Stoller, Tatiana, Rose and also her special caregivers in Fort Collins, Noah, Audrey and many others. And a special thank you to the wonderful professional staff of Collinwood Nursing Home who gave her such good care throughout her time there.
