Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on February 7, 2013 in Fort Collins, Colorado at the age of 81. The only child born to Donald and Annie Nielsen Patterson, Bob grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. He married Beverly Mason in 1951 and they enjoyed 61 years together, raising three children; Richard, Rodney and Laura Weaver. Bob began working at the Union Pacific Corporate Headquarters in Omaha at the age of 19 as an office boy; he stayed with them for 40 years, eventually becoming a Property Tax Agent, traveling much of the Midwest. He served in the Nebraska National Guard, was a member of the Masonic Lodge, served as a Deacon, Elder and Trustee in the Presbyterian Church, and was a long time Little League Baseball coach in Omaha. Bob and Bev moved with the Union Pacific to Arvada, Colorado and then to Fort Worth, Texas. Upon retirement in 1991 they settled in Fort Collins. During retirement he enjoyed golf, traveling and his grandchildren. He was known in 3 states for his sense of humor and meticulous lawn. Bob is survived by his wife, Beverly, son Rod Patterson Jessica Starkelof Lincoln, NE, daughter Laura Weaver Allen of Fort Collins, CO, grandchildren Matthew, Maggie, Adam and Andrea Patterson, and Bryce, Colton and Luke Weaver and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Richard. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., February 16,, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church, 531 S. College Ave., in Fort Collins. Memorials may be made to Larimer County Search and Rescue or Pathways Hospice of Northern Colorado in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524.
