Ramon Keith Hulbert, a lifelong resident of Fort Collins, passed away at the age of 84 on Sunday, October 3, 2010, joining his "Sweet Marie" in heaven. Keith was born February 12, 1926 to Frank and Lucille Hulbert. He attended school in Fort Collins, and was a proud Lambkin and member of the FCHS class of 1944. Until the recent decline in his health, he attended, and thoroughly enjoyed, class reunions and homecoming events. After graduation, Keith served in the U.S. Army. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1981, after a 35-year career. Keith was an avid outdoorsman, and was passionate about fishing, hunting and camping; all activities he shared with his family and many friends. On February 13, 1954, Keith married his partner and soul mate, Marie James, who passed away the day before their 56th anniversary, February 12, 2010. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Marvin; his sons, Joseph Frank, and Victor Louis; and his daughter, Linda Lucille. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Rae and John Timme of Pueblo West; granddaughters, Tracee Bentley Mike of Severance, Lacee Baughman Jeremy of Loveland, Jennifer Fulton of Evergreen, Hannah and Emily Fulton of Lakewood; grandson, Kirtlan Karen Lewis of Lemoore California; and great-grandchildren, Keaton Bentley, Paytan and Ryan Waters of Severance, Madison Glaser and JT and Kwincy Baughman of Loveland. Graveside services with Military Honors by the Fort Collins All Veteran Honor Guard will be held Friday, October 8, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Grandview Cemetery, where the cremains of Keith and Marie, and their children Joe, Victor and Linda will be buried together. In lieu of flowers and food, memorial contributions can be made in Keith's name to Columbine West Health and Rehabilitation Center in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524, where both Keith and Marie were treated like family.
