Nancy L. Dixon, 65, of Fort Collins, passed away peacefully from congestive heart failure on January 9, 2012 at Poudre Valley Hospital. Nancy was born June 16, 1946 in LaJunta, Colorado to Kenneth and Constance Allen. She was a member of the national honor society and graduated from LaJunta High School, attended Otero Junior College before moving to Fort Collins to complete her bachelor's degree in speech and hearing from CSU. She married Ray Dixon in 1974 and had three children. Nancy felt it was more important to stay at home and raise her children as a homemaker than to pursue a career in her designated field of study. Nancy's hobbies included playing the piano, crocheting, crossword puzzles and playing UpWords. But none of her hobbies topped her passion for the Home Shopping Network! Nancy was preceded in death by her first son, Michael Troy Cameron and her parents. Her survivors include Ray Dixon; her other three children, Kim, Shawn, and Jason Dixon; four grandchildren, Lynae, Luke, Tyler and Dawson Dixon; and one great grand-daughter, Aubree, all of Fort Collins; and a sister, Penny Allen of Pueblo, Colorado. Viewing will be held Thursday and Friday from 9am - 4pm at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at the same location Saturday at 10:30 a.m. A private intombment will be held at Grandview Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524.
