Marvin LeRoy Martin, 82, of Evans CO, passed away quietly surrounded by family and friends on May 12, 2013 in Greeley, CO. Marvin was born on March 31, 1931 in Windsor, CO to Jacob and Pauline S. Buderus Martin. Marvin was a courageous warrior with the most kind, gentle, caring, loving soul. He had contracted spinal meningitis when he was 18 months and was not expected to survive then. True to Marvin's nature he surprised them all and continued to do so for the next 80 years. Marvin had many loves in his life: Christmas, babies, dogs, trees, balloons, riding in the car, his many friends at Envision and his family. Anyone who ever met Marvin was truly blessed to have him in their lives and was quick to find out it was "Marvin's way" or no way. Marvin was very special and there will be a void in everyone's life with his passing. Marvin is survived by his niece, Linda Keener of LaSalle, and her family, Ethan Tong, John Lieder, Jacob Lieder, Samantha and Nevaeh all of LaSalle; Wesley of Gilcrest, niece, Debbie Whitehead and her family of Wellington and a brother, Jack D. Martin and family of Peoria, AZ. He is also survived by his very special friend, Doug of Evans, CO and the numerous people at Envision whom he made friends with over the years. He is preceded in death by both parents and a sister, Patricia Ann Martin Keener. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at Grandview Cemetery.
