Lou-Ellyn "Helen" Enyeart, 87, formerly of Del Norte, passed away October 19, 2014, in Loveland, Colorado. She was born October 11, 1927, in Monte Vista to Warren L. and Cecile Johnson Wright. She attended Monte Vista schools, graduating in 1945. Her formative years were divided between summers at Wright's Ranch west of Creede and school years in Monte Vista. She married Bill Enyeart of Del Norte on August 18, 1946, in Glenwood Springs. He died in March 1968. Her married life with Bill saw them living in a lot of different places: Southern California, Denver, Grand Junction, and Steamboat Springs to name a few, but she always came back to the San Luis Valley because that was home. Following Bill's death she moved back to the Valley to stay. In August 1969 she married Bob Wynne, former sheriff of Rio Grande County. They were divorced in 1977 and she took back Enyeart as her last name. From 1977 until 1989 she worked for the State Veteran's Center at Homelake. Her final move was to Loveland in 2011 because of health issues. She enjoyed refurnishing furniture, hunting for purple bottles in old dumps, antiques, crossword puzzles, reading, and watching the Broncos and the Rockies. She is survived by her children, Warren Vicki Enyeart of Eagle River, Alaska, and Waneta Boyce of Fort Collins; two grandchildren: Bill Mallory Boyce of Thornton, and Caila Boyce Ian Sneller of Colorado Springs; and two great-grandchildren, Harper Boyce and Raegan Sneller. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister, Jean Nelson of Monte Vista, and her brother, David Wright of Grand Junction. No services are scheduled although the family is planning a memorial trip to Del Norte and Creede for summer 2015.
