Lionel "Leo" Perez, 73, of Fort Collins, died May 18, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Perez was born March 17, 1937 in Creedmore, Texas to Rev. Pedro and Carolina Perez. Leo enlisted in the U.S. army from 1960-1962 as a specialist E-4. Mr. Perez lived the past 11 years in Ft. Collins moving from San Jose, California. Leo retired after 31 years of work at F.M.C. Ground Systems Division.. He was a member of Aposento Alto Assembly of God in Milliken, Colorado. Leo loved music, singing, and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Rosa Lee Perez; sons, Ken of Modesto, California and Ty of Los Gatos, California; daughters, Kelly and Kim of Manteca, California, and Tish of Ft. Collins; a brother, Dan; two sisters, Vickie and Elida, 15 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Preceding Lionel "Leo" in death are his parents. A Funeral Service will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service with military honors will be held, Thursday, 1:15 p.m. at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado. Those who desire may view Mr. Perez, Thursday, 12 - 4 p.m., at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
