Lee Eugene Mason, 86, of Fort Collins, died May 4, 2015 at his home. Mr. Mason was born September 2, 1928 in Hugoton, Kansas to Noman Coleman and Bessie B. (Horn) Mason.
Lee married Margaret Ann Comer on May 15, 1965 in Gering, Nebraska.
Mr. Mason lived in Fort Collins for 51 years moving here from Oklahoma. Lee worked in the oilfields of Louisiana and offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. He later worked as a pipefitter for Wray Plumbing and Heating until he retired.
His family was a special topic with him. He enjoyed yard work and raising "tomatoes" until his health failed.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; son, Lawrence Eugene Mason (Katy) of Cooksville, Illinois; daughters, Barbara June Kleppinger (John) of Bordentown, New Jersey, Patricia Colleen Mason (Larry Heller) of Los Angeles, California, and Pamela Sue Mason of Prescott, Arizona; stepdaughter, Sherri Lynn Sheppard of Wellington, Colorado; sixteen grandchildren, twenty eight great-grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Lee in death are his parents, Noman and Bess; siblings, Edith Maxcy, Ethel McCrury, J.B. Mason, Mary Alice Larkins and Norma Delay.
A Celebration of Life will take place July 25, 2015 at 10:30 a.m.at the Hugoton Kansas Cemetery.
