Larry Robertson, drummer, wandering poet and welder, died November 8, 2020 in his Walden, CO home. Larry was 71 years old. Larry is survived by his wife, Ramona Robertson, and his two sons, Adam Robertson and William Robertson.
Larry was born to Ira and Ethel Robertson on September 17, 1949 in the dusty unknown reaches of Utah. He attended Fort Collins in 1968 and then studied broadcasting at Aims Community College. He worked as a welder for the bulk of his life and ran several businesses such as a curio shop in Walden. He was an avid musician, drumming in F/L-X and several other outfits.
Larry was very much a free spirit, living by his own rules and kicking up dust wherever he wandered. Usually in the company of his family, whether they were by blood or bond. The yarns he collected and spun about these various adventures inspired his boys and his friends to live their best lives and to live those lives by the rules they set for themselves. Larry was an outlaw to the end and will be sorely missed.
A Funeral Service is planned at Holy Family Catholic Church, 326 N Whitcomb St, Fort Collins, CO 80521, on November 18, 2020 from 10am to 11am. Flowers can be brought to the church service and donations can be made to the family's GoFundMe.
