Keith Woodward Johnson passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025. Keith was born on April 18, 1933 in Negaunee, Michigan to Blanche Woodward and Roy Holen Johnson. He attended Michigan College of Mining and Technology, graduating with a degree in mining engineering and serving in the US Army reserve. While stationed at Fort Belvoir in Fairfax County, Virginia, Keith met his future wife Nancy Elizabeth Small.
Shortly after their marriage he began his job as a petroleum engineer, a position that took him and his family to many places over his 30 years in the oil industry (Montana, Wyoming, Texas, New York, Louisiana and Egypt). He was a dedicated and determined professional who thrived in his long tenure at Conoco.
Blessed with a beautiful voice, Keith loved to sing and was an enthusiastic member of the choir in every church the family attended. Many of his favorite memories were of summers on the lake back in his hometown, surrounded by extended family and friends, singing, boating and telling stories.
Keith loved to garden and was proud that in every state and country he had lived he planted several trees. With his wife Nancy he delivered Meals on Wheels for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife Nancy, children Steven (Brenda),Roger, Paul (Kathleen), and Elizabeth (Walter) Hickman, and grandchildren Jenna, Ally, Lindy, Avery and Finley.
Keith loved his family and his Lord.
