Kathryn E. (Katie) Jones, 87 of Fort Collins, CO., passed away on September 9th, 2017 daughter of John Rochert and Henrietta Raub she was born in Minot, North Dakota. Katie passed away after an extensive battle with bone cancer. Katie moved from Illinois to Colorado in the early 60's where she raised her children. During her early days Katie was a local business owner where she met many people who considered her to be a good friend and often a part of their family.
She was proceeded in death by her parents John Rochert, Henrietta Raub, brother John and son Scott Jones. She is survived by her son William Dixon (Robin), his three son's Bobby, Rick, Josh and 12 Grandchildren of Fort Garland Colorado, her daughter Kimberly Lawson of Loveland CO., her daughter's Angela, Melissa, Step granddaughter Dicia and 8 grandchildren of Minnesota and Daughter-in-law Connie Jones, her daughter LeAnn and two Grandchildren of Fort Collins.
Katie was loved by many and shared a special relationship with her Granddaughter Melissa. Melissa was always there for her Grandma Katie and made many trips from Minnesota to be by Katie's side. A special thank you to you, your husband and family for being there during this difficult time and for supporting you during your travels to Colorado. Your Grandma was so proud of you and was blessed to have you with her, if not in person on the phone, she took her last breaths as you played her a special song that you shared with her you brought her love and comfort throughout her life.

The family would like to thank those who were there for Katie and her family during this difficult time. Those that visited brought a smile to Katie's face, the sharing of memories throughout the years where helpful as Katie prepared for her next journey. Those who knew Katie know what a fighter she was and this period in her life was no different. Katie was a strong woman and gave her all until the very end and did so with grace and dignity.
Katie will be laid to rest in California with her brother John under a special tree that meant a lot to the two of them.
