Julie Zobkiw Mccall

Julie Zobkiw Gibbens McCall, of Fort Collins, died at Meadowlark Assisted Living on May 17, 2013. Julie was born February 2, 1910 in Auburn, New York to Leo and Clementina Zobkiw. Julie was a 1st Lt. in the Army WACs from February 1943 to February 1946. She worked at Fitzsimons Army Hospital in Denver. She also worked at Woodward Governor. Survivors include her son, Tom and his wife, Rae McCall of Fort Collins; Starlyn McCall, Seth and Charlotte Haneman of Wellington, Chelsea McCall of Wellington, Bill, Tom, Millie, Pat Gibbens, their spouses, their children and grandchildren. She has a lone surviving brother, Alex Zobkiw of Bowling Green, KY. She would like to be remembered as one who loved to share her Ukrainian heritage and as a lover of dance. A Graveside Service with Military Honors by the Fort Collins All Veterans Honor Guard will be held at Grandview Cemetery on Wednesday, May 22, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. Doug Macalister of Meadowlark Assisted Living, long term caregiver and friend, will lead the service.
