Bill Pire went to his eternal home on Aug. 19, 2007. He was born Dec. 11, 1917, to Irwin and Helen Pire in Beloit, Wis. He married Alyce Pribnow on March 7, 1953. Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman, making many trips to Canada with friends and family. He loved flying and was a pilot of a B26 in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and continued flying after the war. He was an executive with Peters Meat Company in Eau Claire, Wis., and flew a company plane on business trips. After leaving Peters, he worked a short time at Jerome Foods in Barren, Wis. After retirement, he moved to Fort Collins, where he became a member of Faith E. Free Church. He was cremated. A celebration of Bill's life will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Faith E. Free Church, 3920 S. Shields St. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith E.
