On April 13th 2021, Teresa Sas Beal left us much too soon, passing away suddenly at age 52. Teresa is survived by her husband, James (Jimmy) and twin sons Ben and Max, 14.
Teresa cherished growing up in Chicago's Polish community, where she met and married Jimmy. She graduated from Notre Dame High School and Loyola University in Chicago, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with minors in microbiology and criminal justice.
Teresa and Jimmy shared a common love for adventures and moved to Fort Collins soon after they were married with the ambition to grow their careers and start a family. Teresa spent many years as an accomplished microbiologist and later devoted herself to raising her sons and being a proud hockey mom. Her effervescent nature sparked many smiles, much laughter and joy to all who knew her. Our hearts will always treasure her amazing culinary skill and desire to create delicious meals for family and friends.
She is survived by her parents, Maria and Jan Sas of Stephenson, Michigan; sister, Sophie Tosta (Robert) and nephews Daniel and Alexander of Chicago; sisters-in-law Nancy Waller (Matthew) and Susan Fortney (Justin), and brothers-in-law Robert Beal (Patricia), Greg Beal (Jane), and Jeffrey Beal (Megan); and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be deeply and forever missed.
Visitation is 5 p.m. to 7 on Wednesday, April 28, at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St. in Fort Collins, followed by a Rosary service.
An additional Rosary Service will be held at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, April 29, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Collins. Funeral Mass to follow at 9:30 a.m. Burial service to follow at Grandview Cemetery in Fort Collins.
Celebration of Life Ceremony for Family and Friends will be 1 - 5 p.m. Thursday, April 29, in the Magic Rat Room at the Elizabeth Hotel.
Donations in lieu of flowers are welcome, to Catholic Charities of Fort Collins, 460 Linden Center Dr., Fort Collins.
