FORT COLLINS – MARY LYNN HAY of Fort Collins passed away September 28, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Lynn was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania and graduated with the Class of 1974 from Uniontown Area Senior High School. She served in the U.S. Army attaining the rank of Specialist 4. After a 15-week course in Topographic Survey at Ft. Belvoir, VA she was stationed at Tompkins Barrack in Schwetzingen, Germany. Upon honorable discharge from the military at F.E. Warren AFB, she pursued a career in Geodetic Surveying for the Defense Mapping Agency. She held positions in GIS for the City of Cheyenne, WY, Larimer County and Larimer County Sheriff's office.

Lynn loved to travel and took trips in the United States and Europe. She was extremely interested in astronomy and would research topics that caught her interest. Her love for nature lead her to actively support the raptor and wolf sanctuary programs in the Fort Collins area.

When not pursuing a trip or the stars, she watched her favorite TV shows with her cats Ember and Sophie by her side. Lynn lived life well…

Lynn was predeceased by her parents Alfred S. and Grace A. Hay. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Stang, sister Catherine Weick and husband Warren of NJ and brother Alan Hay of SC.

A memorial service will be held on October 13, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 2000 Stover St., Fort Collins, CO. A reception will be held at 2401 Mathews St., Fort Collins following the memorial service.
