"The world will never be the same without you in it, and I think it's worse off for it. I love you."
Our beloved son, brother, partner and friend passed away on the evening of January 27th, 2018 in his home in Evans, Colorado. He is preceded in death by his mother Pamela who passed in 1989. He is survived by his long-time partner Yasi Meret, his father Reed, his brother Josh, his sister Shari, his entire step-family, and his faithful dog Siobhan. Ian was born in the Seattle area and left many close friends when his life adventures took him to the East Coast and then to Colorado to be close to his family. Ian loved art, poetry and was an accomplished musician and composer. He was also an avid reader with an amazing vocabulary. Photography was very important to him and he took many incredible pictures while in Europe with Yasi. He could imitate any accent that was given to him. He was a talented young man. His gentle spirit and wicked sense of humor are among many of the things that will be missed. A memorial is planned for spring and details will be available at a later date on Ian's Facebook page.
