IN LOVING MEMORY
Deborah (Debbie) Kochs's love of life didn't come to an end with her death. Debbie passed away on August 29th, 2021 at the age of 66 surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest and remembering that if there was a good time to be had, Debbie would have been there.
Debbie grew up in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania with her 3 sisters and 1 brother. After attending and graduating from Liberty High, Debbie worked at Dun & BradStreet then payroll at UPS. After moving to Fort Collins in 1975, Debbie worked as a graphic designer and editor at Fish and Wildlife. Debbie married Kenneth Koch in Fort Collins in 1994 and became a mother to their daughter, Hannah Koch, in 1995. Debbie retired from her job at Fish and Wildlife to become a full time mother. Being a wonderful, doting and present mother was one of Debbie's greatest pleasures.
Debbie was a proud survivor of breast cancer which she battled at the age of 55. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Debbie. When Debbie moved to Fort Collins she loved to explore the local hiking trails, ski and found beauty in everything. She loved to play dice, games, & solitaire, as well as garden, color, read magazines, beat people at Words with Friends, and sit on the back patio watching the beautiful Colorado sunsets. Anyone who knew Debbie can reflect on how tenacious, outspoken and decisive she was. She had an uncanny ability to make friends with anyone. Laughing and smiling was always on Debbie's agenda and she made every occasion into a great time. Debbie enjoyed many beautiful vacations with her loving family who will miss her greatly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Noon, on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at City Park in Ft. Collins, CO under the Pavillions.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation to honor all the strong women like Debbie.
