HOW TO HONOR A LIFE

There are two important decisions to make in this process. First, we will discuss with you what your wishes are for your loved one's physical remains, then, we'll ask you to consider how you wish to honor and celebrate their life.

Burial or Cremation?

Your first consideration focuses on choosing between burial and cremation. Usually, people are clear on this point. In fact, your loved one may have told you, or someone else, exactly how they wish to be cared for. But it can be a hard decision for some families, especially when the wishes of the deceased were never clearly stated. If that's the case, please know we can help you come to the right decision for your loved one, and for you.

Once you decide, the finer details come into focus. If you've chosen burial, then selection of the casket, vault, and desired cemetery follows. We can help you every step of the way.

What Type of Service?

A funeral or memorial service, whether traditional or contemporary, represents a purposeful opportunity to reflect on the meaning of a life that has been lived. You and your family are in control of the events that take place during a funeral service. Participation of the family in planning a service is the key to creating a meaningful experience for those who attend. You can have your service anywhere, and in any way, you want. Your choices include the place of celebration, day of the week, and time of day; the musical selection; what prayers will be said or what songs you’d like sung. We’re here to help guide you in this planning process and to help you honor the life of your loved one.

What's Next?

Now that we've given you the basics, it's time to reflect more on exactly what is appropriate for you and your family. If possible, gather everyone together to discuss feelings and desires.
